Editor’s Choice

Bottom line: Tuner is rated 4.0/5 from 4 ratings and a strong pick if you want a focused music app.

Pros

Chromatic tuner with live Hz display and color-coded feedback (blue = in tune, yellow = close, red = adjust)
Auto Mode detects the string you're playing automatically
15 tuning presets: Standard, Drop-D, Drop-C, Drop-B, Open-G, Open-D, Open-C, and more
Guitar (6-string) and Bass (4-string) modes with dedicated preset libraries
Dark mode for studio, stage, and low-light practice
Trusted by 2.5M+ musicians worldwide

Cons

Some advanced features may sit behind an in-app purchase.
As a focused music app, it skips unrelated extras on purpose.
Available on iOS only, so it is not a cross-platform pick.

Who should use Tuner?

Tuner is best for people who want a dedicated music app that does one job well rather than a bloated all-in-one. If that sounds like you, the pros clearly outweigh the cons.

If you need a broad, multi-purpose suite, you may prefer a heavier alternative - but you will trade away the simplicity that makes Tuner pleasant to use day to day.
