How to use it

  1. Add your business details and logo, and the client you are billing.
  2. List each item with a quantity and a rate, then set tax, a discount and shipping if they apply.
  3. Press Download PDF or Print. Next invoice moves to the next number for the following one.

What goes on the invoice

The invoice shows your name, address and tax number, the client's details, the invoice number, the date, and the due date worked out from your payment terms, such as Net 30. Each line is quantity times rate. The totals show the subtotal, a discount as a percentage or an amount, one tax at the rate you set (VAT, sales tax or GST), shipping, the total, any amount already paid and the balance due, with the total in words for the main currencies.

Switch the heading to Proforma invoice, Quote or Estimate when you need one of those, and the due date becomes a valid-until date. Add payment details and a payment link, and the invoice carries a QR code your client can scan to pay. Tick Remember my business details, and your name, address, logo and next invoice number are filled in on your next visit.
