How to use it
- Type a domain, without a path.
- Press Look up.
- Read A and AAAA for addresses, NS for name servers, and MX for mail.
What you are asking
The browser calls https://cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query. That is Cloudflare’s public resolver, sometimes called 1.1.1.1. The domain name leaves your browser. Best Latest Apps does not receive the query and does not store an answer.
The answer is whatever that resolver returns at that moment, with a TTL. It is not a domain-authority score, a traffic estimate, or proof of who owns the site. An address can be a proxy or a host in front of the origin.
Private by design
Privacy
Only the domain name is sent, and it is sent to Cloudflare’s public DNS. Do not put a secret in the box. There is nothing useful to put there but a hostname.
Questions
Why are there two A records?
The name can point at more than one address. Both are listed.
Does this show who owns the domain?
No. Ownership is a WHOIS or RDAP question. This page is DNS only.
What if a section says no answer?
That record type is missing, or the resolver returned none. A site can have an A record and no MX record.
