How to use it
- Choose a board size, or Custom, then press New game.
- Open a cell. The first click clears a safe area. Flag a mine with Flag mode, a long press, a right click, or F.
- Open every safe cell. The timer stops when the board is clear.
Board sizes, flags and the timer
Beginner is 9 by 9 with 10 mines, intermediate is 16 by 16 with 40, and expert is 30 by 16 with 99. A custom board can be from 5 by 5 up to 50 by 30. A number tells you how many mines touch that cell. When the flags around a number match the number, a click on it opens the remaining neighbours.
Arrow keys move around the board. Space or Enter opens the focused cell, and F flags it. On a narrow screen a wide board turns on its side. When the cells would be smaller than a fingertip, the board scrolls. The timer pauses while this tab is hidden. Your best time for each size stays in this browser.

Questions
Which board sizes can I play?
Beginner, intermediate and expert, plus a custom width, height and mine count. The three named sizes are 9 by 9 with 10 mines, 16 by 16 with 40, and 30 by 16 with 99.
Why is the first click safe?
The mines are placed after that click, away from the cell you opened and the cells around it, so the first click always clears an area.
How do I place a flag?
Turn on Flag mode and tap the cell, or right-click, or press and hold, or press F while the cell is focused. Flag mode is the easiest way on a phone.
What does the timer measure?
It starts on the first click and stops when you clear the board or open a mine. It pauses while this tab is in the background. The best time for that size is kept in this browser.
