About these tools

Sudoku makes a new puzzle in Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert, each with exactly one solution. You can pencil in notes, undo and redo, ask for a hint, check your entries and print the puzzle. Your game is saved in this browser, so you can come back to it later. You can also type in a puzzle from a newspaper and solve it.

Tic Tac Toe is the classic three-in-a-row game for two players on one screen.

The word unscrambler lists every word you can make from a set of letters, longest first, with blanks for wildcard tiles and filters for the start, end and length. The five-letter word finder takes the green, yellow and grey letters from a daily word puzzle and lists the words that still fit.

The word tools use the ENABLE word list, a public-domain list of about 170,000 English words that many word games are built on.

Questions

Does every Sudoku have one solution?

Yes. Each puzzle is checked by a solver before you see it, so there is exactly one correct grid and you can always solve it by logic.

Is my Sudoku game saved?

Your current game is saved in this browser after every move, so a reload or a later visit picks up where you left off. New game starts a fresh puzzle.

Which words does the word unscrambler know?

It uses the ENABLE list of about 170,000 English words, which includes the words most word games accept. Some games have their own lists, so a rare word can differ.
