Knockout byes and round-robin scoring
A knockout field grows to the next power of two. The page holds up to 32 players. Byes sit in the first round so the remaining players meet, and a player with a bye goes through. Tap a name to advance that player. Changing a winner clears the later matches that depended on the previous choice.
Round robin uses the circle method, so every pair meets once. The page holds up to 16 players. An odd field gives one player a bye each round. A win is 3 points, a draw is 1 and a loss is 0. The table sorts by points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then name. Leave Keep this order off and the names are shuffled before the draw.

Questions
How do byes work in a knockout?
The field is filled to the next power of two. Extra places are byes in the first round, so a player can go through without a match.
How do I record a knockout winner?
Tap the name in that match. The winner moves on, and a later change clears the matches that followed from the old winner.
How does round robin pair the players?
Everyone plays everyone else once. The circle method builds the rounds, and an odd number of players gives one bye each round.
How are round-robin points scored?
A win is 3, a draw is 1 and a loss is 0. The table ranks by points, then goal difference, then goals, then name.
