How to use it
- Press Start camera and allow camera access.
- Pick another camera or resolution if you have more than one.
- Check the readings, take a snapshot, or open the preview full screen.
What the readings mean
The resolution is the size of the picture the camera is sending now, which can be lower than the box on the camera says when the light is poor or the cable is slow. The frame rate is measured from the frames that actually arrive; 30 fps looks smooth, and many webcams drop to 15 fps in a dim room.
If the preview stays black, another app such as a video call may be using the camera, or the browser may need permission in its site settings. On laptops, check for a privacy shutter or a camera key. A snapshot saves a PNG of the current frame to your device.

Questions
Why is my webcam not working in the browser?
Allow camera access when the browser asks, close other apps that use the camera, and check for a privacy shutter or a camera off key. Then press Start camera again.
Why is the resolution lower than my camera's rating?
Cameras lower the resolution or frame rate in poor light or when the connection is slow. Try more light, another USB port, or ask for a lower size.
Can I test my phone camera?
Yes. Open the page on your phone and pick the front or back camera from the list.
Why is the picture mirrored?
Mirroring makes the preview behave like a mirror, which feels natural. Switch it off to see what others see in a call.
