How to use it

How the words are found
The page checks every word in the ENABLE list, about 170,000 English words, and keeps those that can be spelled with your letters, using each letter as many times as you have it. A ? stands for any letter. Each word shows its letter score with the classic tile values to help you choose.
The word list downloads once, under half a megabyte compressed, and then your browser keeps it, so later searches are instant. Word games use their own official lists, so a rare word can be fine in one game and missing from another.

Why is a word I know missing?
Proper nouns, abbreviations and some recent words are left out of the ENABLE list, as in most word game dictionaries.
