Getting the best result
The page uses Tesseract, a well-known open-source OCR engine, running inside your browser with English and Hindi language data. Sharp, evenly lit photos with the text straight and large work best. Sharpen small or faint text enlarges and cleans up the picture before reading, which helps with screenshots and receipts.
Several images are read in order and joined, so you can photograph a few pages and get one text. The first run downloads the engine and the language data once, then your browser keeps them. Handwriting and decorative fonts are harder; check names and numbers after reading.

Questions
Can it read Hindi text?
Yes. Choose Hindi, or English and Hindi for mixed text. The Devanagari model reads printed Hindi well.
Why are some words wrong?
Blur, shadows, small text and fancy fonts confuse OCR. Retake the photo in good light with the text flat and filling the frame, and keep Sharpen on.
Can it read handwriting?
Neat print-style handwriting sometimes works. Joined-up handwriting is hard for OCR engines, so expect to correct it.
Can I turn a scanned PDF into text?
Use OCR PDF for PDF files. This page reads image files such as JPG, PNG, WebP and screenshots.
