About the placeholder text
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin from Cicero's De finibus, used by designers since the 1500s so that a layout can be judged without readable text pulling the eye. The generator builds sentences of varied length from the traditional word list, so paragraphs look natural.
With HTML on, paragraphs come wrapped in <p> tags and list items in a <ul>, ready to paste into a template. The word and character counts help you fill a box of a known size.
