How the two calendars line up
Bikram Sambat is the civil calendar of Nepal. The year begins in mid-April. Month lengths for BS 1975 through BS 2100 are the published ones, anchored so that 29 Magh 2073 is 11 February 2017. On that table, 26 Shrawan 2047 is 10 August 1990, and 1 Baisakh 2000 is 14 April 1943.
Either direction uses that same table. The months are Baisakh, Jestha, Ashadh, Shrawan, Bhadra, Ashwin, Kartik, Mangsir, Poush, Magh, Falgun and Chaitra. Some months have 32 days. A date outside the span asks you to pick one inside it. Today, 27 October 2026, falls on 11 Kartik 2083.
