How the result is simplified
The page uses the greatest common divisor. A result such as 5/6 stays a fraction. A result such as 7/3 is shown as the mixed number 2 1/3. Denominators cannot be zero, and dividing by a zero numerator is rejected.
Decimals are not accepted in the boxes. Convert 0.5 to 1/2 first.
