How to use it

  1. Type the text.
  2. Change error correction if the code must survive a damaged print, or if you need more text.
  3. Download the PNG.

How much text fits

The page encodes Latin-1 text in QR versions 1 through 10. Medium error correction holds a typical link. If the text is too long, shorten it or switch to low error correction, which leaves more room and is less tolerant of damage.

Higher error correction makes a denser code. Print it large enough that a phone can see the modules.

Questions

Why was my emoji rejected?

This generator encodes characters up to Latin-1. Emoji and many scripts need a shorter ASCII link instead.

Can I put a logo in the middle?

No. A logo would cover modules. Use high error correction only if you accept a denser code, and do not cover it.

Does the download include a quiet zone?

Yes. There is a white margin around the modules, which scanners expect.
