Padding, corners and a frame
Padding is the margin of background around the shot. Corner radius rounds the photo. The window frame adds a slim title bar with the familiar three dots, and the phone frame adds a dark bezel. Photo only leaves the shot on the background with the radius you set. A shadow lifts the card off the background.
Backgrounds are slate, sand, sky, blush, ink, or a custom colour. The long side of the working copy is capped at 2560 pixels so a full-desktop shot stays light to edit. HEIC photos open in Safari. JPG saves on a white fill where the frame has transparent corners.
