Tally counter

Start with Guests, Songs and Rounds, or rename them and add your own. The plus and minus buttons change the selected counter, and the keyboard does the same.

How to use it

  1. Rename a counter, or add another.
  2. Press plus or minus, or use the plus and minus keys.
  3. Set the step when you want each press to add more than one.

How the counts are kept

Each counter has its own name and its own total. The selected row takes the keyboard: plus and the up arrow add the step, minus and the down arrow take it away, and the left and right arrows move between counters. A count stops at zero when you subtract past it.

The step is a setting, so a shared link can open with the same step. Names and totals stay in this browser and stay out of the page link. Reset counts returns every total to zero and keeps the names.

Privacy

Names and counts stay in this browser and stay out of the page link. The step is the only tally setting that can sit in a shared link.

Questions

Can I run more than one count?

Yes. Add a counter for each thing you are tracking, give it a name, and switch between them with a tap or the arrow keys.

What do the keys do?

With the counter selected, plus and the up arrow add the step. Minus and the down arrow subtract it. Left and right move to the next counter.

Will a reload clear the totals?

The totals and names are remembered in this browser until you reset them or remove the counter.

Can the count go below zero?

It stops at zero, so a minus press on an empty counter leaves it there.
