How to use it

  1. Choose 33, 99 or 100 beads.
  2. Tap the circle once for each bead. On a computer, press Space or Enter.
  3. On the last bead the round completes, the count starts again, and the streak updates.

How the round and the streak work

A round is 33, 99 or 100 taps. The ring fills as you go. On the last tap the count returns to zero, the round total goes up, and the page plays a short buzz. On a phone that vibrates, that same moment is a short pulse in the hand. Leave the buzz on when the phone is face down.

The streak is the number of days in a row with at least one finished round. Another round on the same day keeps the streak where it is. Finish a round the next day and the streak grows by one. After a gap, the next finished round starts the streak at one. The count, the rounds and the streak stay in this browser.

Questions

What are 33, 99 and 100?

They are the three round lengths. 33 is a third of 99, and 100 is the other common round. Pick the length you are counting, and the ring and the buzz follow it.

What happens on the last bead?

The round total increases by one, the bead count returns to zero, and a buzz plays. The next tap starts the following round.

How does the daily streak work?

It counts consecutive days on which you finish at least one round. A further round today leaves it unchanged. A finished round tomorrow extends it. After a day with no finished round, the next one starts the streak at one.

Will my count stay if I close the page?

Yes. The bead count, the rounds and the streak are saved in this browser. Clearing the browser's saved data for this site clears the counter.

Where does the buzz come from?

From this page, as a short tone, and as a vibration on phones that provide it. It plays on your device when a round ends.
