How to use it

  1. Tap the coin or press Flip.
  2. Flip 10 or 100 to see how the results spread.
  3. Name the sides, such as Pizza and Burger, to make a decision.

A fair flip

Each flip uses your browser's cryptographic random generator, so heads and tails each have exactly a 50% chance and every flip is independent of the last. The counts and the longest streak show how runs of the same side happen naturally.

Flipping 100 coins usually gives somewhere between 40 and 60 heads; exactly 50 happens only about 8% of the time. The Space key flips too, and the animation stays gentle when your device asks for reduced motion.

Questions

Is an online coin flip fair?

Yes. Each flip has an exact 50% chance of heads, using the browser's cryptographic random generator.

Can I flip more than one coin?

Yes. Press Flip 10 or Flip 100 to see the number of heads and tails.

Can I rename heads and tails?

Yes. Open Name the sides and type what each side means.

Why did I get five heads in a row?

Streaks are normal. In 100 flips, a run of five or more of the same side is very likely.
