How to use it
- Enter the distance in kilometres or miles.
- Enter fuel use as L/100 km, km/L, or US mpg.
- Enter the price per litre, or per gallon if you used mpg.
How the litres are found
Miles are converted at 1.609344 km. US mpg is converted at 235.215 litres per 100 km for each mpg. Kilometres per litre becomes litres per 100 km by dividing 100 by that figure. Litres are the distance in km times litres-per-100 km, divided by 100. Cost is litres times the price you typed.
The price unit should match the fuel unit: per litre for L/100 km and km/L, per gallon for mpg. The page does not look up a station price.

Questions
Does it include a return trip?
Only if the distance you typed includes it.
Which mpg is this?
US gallons. An imperial gallon is different.
Can the price be per litre while I type mpg?
Then the cost will be wrong. Match the price to the fuel unit.
