Change image DPI
Set 72, 150, 300 or any other DPI. On a PNG, JPG or WebP that already has a place for resolution, every pixel stays as it is and only the DPI field changes. The print size updates with the new DPI.

How to use it

- Choose 72, 150 or 300, or type another DPI.
- Apply. Files that can store DPI keep every pixel.
DPI is a label, the pixels stay
DPI tells a printer how to map pixels to paper. Changing it on a PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, or a WebP that already has an EXIF block rewrites that field and leaves the picture data byte for byte. 300 DPI is the usual print and visa figure, 150 is a lighter print, and 72 is a screen figure. The page also shows the print width in centimetres.
GIF, a plain WebP, and HEIC save as a new PNG at the DPI you chose, and the page says so. HEIC photos open in Safari for that PNG. A batch downloads as a ZIP.

Questions
Does 300 DPI change the pixels?
On a PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, or a WebP that already stores resolution, the picture bytes stay as they are. Only the DPI field is rewritten.
Which values should I use?
72 for a screen, 150 for a light print, and 300 for a sharp print or a visa form. Any whole number from 1 to 65535 is accepted.
What happens to a GIF or a plain WebP?
Those save as a new PNG at the DPI you set. The status line names the DPI and the pixel size.
Will HEIC open?
HEIC photos open in Safari, where Apply can draw a PNG at the new DPI.
