Where your notes are kept
Notes are stored in this browser's local storage on this device, so they are there when you come back, even offline once the page has loaded. They stay on this device and in this browser, so use Back up all notes to save a file you can restore elsewhere.
Clearing your browser's site data removes the notes, so keep a backup of anything important. The word and character counts update as you type, and the text size and monospace options make the page comfortable for writing or code.

Are my notes saved if I close the browser?
Yes. They stay in this browser on this device until you delete them or clear the site's data.
Can I open my notes on another device?
Back up all notes on the first device, then open the backup with Restore a backup on the other one.
Is there a limit to how much I can write?
Browsers allow several megabytes for a site, which is millions of characters of text.
Can I recover a deleted note?
Right after deleting, press Undo in the message. After that, restore it from a backup if you made one.
