How to use it

What each voice does
Deep drops the pitch five semitones and high raises it eight, which is the chipmunk setting. With “keep the same length” on, the page time-stretches the audio and then resamples it, so the words stay at the same speed while the pitch moves. Turn that off and the clip behaves like a tape played slower or faster: the pitch and the speed change together.
Robot ring-modulates the voice and adds a short metallic comb. Echo repeats the line with feedback. Radio band-limits it and adds a little noise and grit. Alien wobbles the pitch. Cave adds early reflections and a long reverb. Monster pushes the low end and soft-clips it. Effect strength scales those colours. Normalise sets the saved peak near −1 dB. A take longer than three minutes should be split first.

Questions
How do I make my voice deeper or higher?
Press Deep or High, then Preview. The pitch box shows the shift in semitones, and you can move it from −12 to +12.
Can I keep the words at the same speed?
Yes. Leave “Keep the same length when the pitch changes” on. Turn it off if you want the clip to play slower or faster as the pitch moves.
How do the robot and echo voices work?
Robot mixes the voice with a low ring modulation and a short comb, which sounds metallic. Echo adds repeating copies that fade out. Strength turns either effect up or down.
Can I use a file instead of the microphone?
Yes. Open an MP3, M4A or WAV, or a recording your browser can play. The microphone is used only when you press Record.
What do I get when I save?
An MP3 at the bitrate you choose, or a WAV. The file is written in this page and saved to your downloads.
