About these tools
Start with the online mic test if a call, recording or game cannot hear you. It shows a live level meter and waveform, lets you pick which input to use, and plays back a short test recording so you can hear what others hear. If the problem is on the other side, the speaker test plays left, right and stereo tones and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz sweep, then walks through the real settings that make an iPhone or Android speaker louder.
For musicians, the online guitar tuner listens through the microphone and shows a chromatic needle with the note, cents and frequency. It covers standard tuning, Drop D, DADGAD, bass and ukulele. The online metronome keeps a steady click from 20 to 300 BPM, with tap tempo, time signatures, subdivisions and an accented first beat.
The virtual piano gives you 25 keys you can play with a computer keyboard, a mouse or touch, with an octave shift, a sustain pedal and note names. The online drum machine is a 16-step grid with kick, snare, clap and hi-hat rows, tempo and swing controls, and rock, hip-hop, house and reggaeton presets to start from.
The online voice recorder records from any microphone, with pause and resume, a level meter and playback. The browser chooses the file type: Safari saves .m4a, while Chrome, Edge and Firefox save .webm or .ogg. Download the file before you close the tab.
The tools that use your microphone handle the audio inside the page. The mic test, tuner and recorder do not upload what they hear. Your browser asks for microphone permission the first time, and you can withdraw it at any time in the site settings.
When you need the same job every day, or on a phone without a browser tab open, each page links to the related iPhone or Android app.
Questions
Do these audio tools upload my recordings?
No. The mic test, guitar tuner and voice recorder process audio inside your browser. Recordings stay in the page until you download them, and they are gone when you close the tab.
Why does my browser ask for microphone access?
The mic test, tuner and voice recorder need the microphone to hear sound. The browser asks once per site. If you blocked it by mistake, allow the microphone for this site in your browser's settings and reload the page.
Do the tools work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. They run in Safari, Chrome and other current mobile browsers. On iPhone, turn off silent mode if you cannot hear the speaker test, metronome, piano or drums.
