App Store screenshot resizer

Turn one screenshot into every App Store Connect size you pick, fitted, filled or padded, and download them as a ZIP. The image is resized in this tab.

Runs in your browser; this tool's code doesn't upload your screenshot.

Drop a screenshot here, paste it, or choose a file.

Fit scales the whole screenshot inside the new size and fills the rest with the background. Fill covers the new size and crops the edges. Pad keeps its own size, centred on the background.

    How it works

    • Add one screenshot: drop it, paste it or choose the file. PNG, JPEG, and any other image this browser can open.
    • Tick the sizes you need. Required sets picks Apple's two required sizes; switch Orientation for landscape sets.
    • Choose Fit, Fill or Pad and a background colour for any border.
    • Press Download ZIP. Each file is named after its size and saved without an alpha channel.

    Sizes it exports

Not sure which size you need? Check it on the sizes page. The list below is built from the same data as that page, so the two never drift apart. Two sizes have their own pages: iPhone Duo and iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), the one required iPhone set.

Fit, fill or pad: which to choose

    • Fit scales the whole screenshot to fit inside the new size and fills the rest with the background colour. Nothing is cut off; when the shapes differ you get bands at two edges.
    • Fill scales the screenshot to cover the new size and crops what spills over. There's no border, but the edges of your screenshot can be lost, so keep text away from them.
    • Pad keeps the screenshot at its own pixel size, centred on the background colour, and only scales it down if it is bigger than the new size. Use it for a framed look or a small screenshot on a large canvas.

Every file is drawn onto an opaque background and written as 24-bit RGB PNG or JPEG, so transparent corners from a design tool come out in the background colour instead of being rejected for an alpha channel.

Why App Store Connect rejects screenshots

App Store Connect checks the exact pixel size of each file against the slot you upload it to, and refuses files with an alpha channel, in a format other than PNG or JPEG, or more than ten per size. If you saw “The dimensions of one or more screenshots are wrong”, read how to fix the screenshot dimensions error. For a file that is too big to upload, shrink it with the image compressor.

    Private by design

    Privacy

The screenshot is read and resized in this tab with the browser's canvas, and the ZIP is put together here too. This tool's code doesn't upload the image or send it anywhere, and nothing is kept after you close the tab.

This page also shows Google ads, which can use cookies. Privacy and cookies explains how.

    Questions

Does the resizer upload my screenshot?

No. This tool's code reads the image, resizes it and builds the ZIP in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.

    Which sizes should I export?

Apple requires at least one iPhone set, iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display) at 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556, and a 13-inch iPad set (2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732) if the app runs on iPad. Required sets ticks those two. Add others only if your layout differs on them.

Why are my exported PNGs bigger than the original?

The resizer writes 24-bit RGB PNGs without an alpha channel, at the full target size. For smaller files choose JPEG, which App Store Connect also accepts.

Can I resize several screenshots at once?

The resizer takes one source image and makes many sizes from it. To fix many files to their nearest accepted size, use Fix and export on the App Store screenshot sizes page.

    What does Pad do?

Pad keeps your screenshot at its own size, centred on the background colour, and only shrinks it when it is larger than the target. Fit scales it up or down to fit inside.
