Questions

Are the tax calculators up to date?

Each tax and contribution page lists the rules it uses and the date they were checked. Rates can change in a budget, so check the official source before you file.

Do I need to enter my real salary?

Any figure works. Amounts stay in this browser tab and are kept out of the page link.

Can I rely on these figures for a big decision?

Use them to plan and compare. For a loan, an investment or a tax return, confirm the figures with your bank, adviser or the tax office.
